If
you are in Canada as a Visitor and would like to extend
your stay you can apply for it with valid reason,
before 30 days of expiry of your status in Canada.
Change
of Condition for Students or temporary workers:
Students are a class of temporary residents who are
legally authorized to enter Canada temporarily to
study. They are restricted in length of stay and are
subject to various other conditions. Student may need
to apply for change in condition in one of the following
situations
- Want
to extend their stay as a student,
- Want
to change conditions of their stay as a student
(i.e. change the college/university, location, change
the job, etc.),
- Change
their class (from study permit to work permit etc.)
- Correct
problems in their status
If
you are currently studying in Canada and wish to change
institutions at the same level, or change levels from
college to university, you must look at the conditions
initially imposed on your study permit. If required,
you must apply to change conditions before moving
to another institution.
If
your status has expired or if you did not respect
one of the conditions of your permit or you have worked
or studied without a required permit, you have committed
an offence under the Immigration and Refugee Protection
Act. You may be subject to an admissibility hearing
that could lead to removal from Canada. If your temporary
resident status has expired, you are not eligible
to apply for extension. We can assist you in restoring
